INGREDIENTS:
Wheat flour - 2 cups
Salt - 1 tsp
Water - as required
Oil - for frying
PREPARATION:
- Mix the flour with 1 tsp of salt and add enough water to make a stiff dough.
- Make dough by kneeding properly.
- Make small balls out of the dough.
- Sprinkle them with wheat flour.
- Roll the pooris from these balls, and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and allow it to heat very well.
- Once the oil is hot, gently slide the pooris from the side.
- Once it starts floating, gently press on one side with the frying ladle, this will help the poori to puff up.
- After 1 min, turn the poori and fry on other side.
- Pooris are ready to serve.
- Serve hot pooris with aloo curry or chole curry or mango pulp.
